WIP....I need help~

How was every one's love day? Mine was great. Getting handmade, kid wrapped presents is the best. They even went to my favorite candy shoppe...yummy!! We went to see the Percy Jackson and the Olympians.....if you have a son that is 11, I would recommend this movie!! So great, my son has read 4 out of 5 books in the series and has raved about it since book one. Its mythological and action packed.

I am going to my very first art retreat. I am so excited and nervous.

I received my information packet and a tea pot in the mail......

Challenge was to decorate the teapot any way you want.

The theme is Alice in Wonderland....so here is what I have so far

I also have sculpted bunny feet......I thought maybe a free standing bunny next to the teapot.I thought of putting wheels on the teapot too....This is the first layer of black and white.....lots more to do.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be great!!!
As far as my Tuesday giveaway...I will have to postpone until I get back.
I started the giveaways to challenge my creativity....and right now I am quite challenged right now.....thanks for understanding :)

Chat soon :)

Oh JACKIE, that looks AWESOME!! Your ideas are right on, I think! Wheels on the tea pot and a lil bunny, that would be so NEAT!

Lots of work left, as you said, but is coming right along. Challenged? What are you talking about.

So glad you had a nice Valentine's Day and your kids sound like they did a wonderful job of spreading their Love ♥

Speaking of spreading love, I received my SWEET lil dollie in the mail today and she is just too ADORABLE!! I love her and will ALWAYS treasure her. Thank you so much, Jackie!

You have a great day! I am not much help on your "shout out", am I? I think your ideas are perfect.

Hugs,
~Tonya

Oh Jackie...this is so your style!!!

Have you thought about turning the teapot lid's handle into a top "mad-hatter" hat? Don't know if that would work with your overall concept so you would have to decide...also, if you have a free-standing bunny planned and a teapot on wheels, why couldn't the bunny be towing the teapot? You could pose him with the rope tight or loose for two entirely different looks. Alice is adorable and I love the way you sculpted her feet like she is kicking them back and forth while playfully sitting on the handle!!!

You are on a roll sweetie so you do whatever feels "right" for your vision of the piece, and that will be the right thing to do.

Thank you for sharing Jackie!!

What fun!

I also like the idea of a freestanding bunny. I can just see him leaning on the teapot, or hiding beside it. Though I like Laurie's idea too.
Would you consider having the Mad Hatter or other character peeking out of the inside of the teapot? Or even have a hidden figure (the bunny maybe?) sitting inside the pot, revealed only when removing the lid and looking inside. Maybe the "eat me" cookie or bottle??

I can't wait to see the finished piece!

Have fun~~

all great ideas above. I was thinking very similar to cathy. I can see a cheshire cat sitting in the bottom of the teapot, looking up with that smile! And a pocket watch for the bunny!
cant wait to see your finished piece!

I truly love everyones ideas do far. When I looked at the WIP I was so excited. It is already awesome. Love the idea of the mad hatter hat being on the lid and that maybe being the "pull" for the lid. How about the chesire cat sitting atop the spout or hang on the bottom of it with his tail wrapped around real longish around the spout going towards where the tea pours. Really so many ideas. Great subject matter. I say you are 100% on the right track. The harlequin pattern is gorgeous and laid out wonderfully.

Jackie,

She looks great so far. I am in agreement about the bunny, I think attached somehow would look great but freestanding would be good too. I know how ever you finish it it will be fantastic! Please post your finished pics!

Have a great time :-)

hi jaCkie!
Great ideas everyone!
My hunch is once you really get going with it (take the plunge) the ideas will just start pinging around and you'll be in the flow. I know you are bit pressed for time but step away and come back to it. In the meantime fill your creative well :)
hugs,
sUz :)
